Beth Ith-Director
Beth Ith started dancing at the age of two and has performed and competed in many award winning dance routines. She has received scholarships from LADF and DEA for her dancing potential and energy. Beth has had the opportunity the train with many Tap Masters including Gregory Hines, Savion Glover, Diane Walker, Jason Samuels Smith, Terry Brock, Travis Knights, Greg Russel, and Anthony Peters. A 2001 graduate of Western Washington University, Beth has found her passion in teaching Dance. She has been teaching at Studio 1 since 1999, and has taught for multiple other dance studios around the Eastisde and up North. Beth is a certified member of Dance Masters of America (DMA) and Dance Educators of America (DEA). She was appointed Director of Studio 1's Competition Dance Teams in 2004 and Co-Director of Studio 1, alongside her mom, in January of 2011. Beth loves to educate dancers and see them grow year after year with her. He first love is Tap, but also enjoys teaching Jazz, Lyrical and Turns and Progressions. Beth has been recognized for her choreography in both regional and national dance competitions. She has seen her students go on to pursue their own dance careers in LA and NY with appearances on Dancing with the Stars, GLEE, in music videos or in professional performing companies. Many of her student’s further their dance training after high school in dance programs such as OCU Dance Department and Broadway Dance Center. Beth has judged and taught tap workshop classes for both DEA and DMA, where she enjoys passing on her love and knowledge of tap dancing to her students. It has been a wonderful opportunity for Beth to touch the lives of Tap students throughout the country. Beth is most blessed with her children: Kamden, Brycen, and Jacen who all enjoy dancing with their Mom and Grandma at Studio 1!
